The Greek breakfast at the Blue Sand Hotel & Suites includes various coffees or teas, freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of breads, the freshly baked pie of the day, cake, honey, homemade jam and butter. There is also Greek strained yoghurt with fruits or fruit salad, and fried eggs. Guests may try specialties like the aromatic omelet (with basil, tomato, garlic and “souroto” -local cheese of Folegandros), the Greek “French Toast” (with Greek salad and feta), or “kagianas” with crispy bacon and “souroto” cheese.

The Greek breakfast buffet at the Blue Palace offers traditional beverages, such as “diktamo”, mint, sage, chamomile and linden. There is wheat and barley bread, all kinds of rusks, cookies and biscuits. Guests will find extra virgin olive oil, olives, thyme honey, jams, dried fruits and nuts.
Dairy produce includes “anthotyros”, gruyere, “kefalotyri”, “myzithra” “ksigalo” and “ksinomyzithra” cheeses, as well as yoghurt. Apart from cold cuts like “apaki” (salted pork), fresh fruits and salads are served -paired with traditional “dakos” rusk with tomato and cheese. Recommended specialty dishes are the following: “kalitsounia” (with myzithra cheese and honey), traditional pies like “bougatsa”, “tiganopita”, “chortopita”, “myzithropita” and “sarikopita”, omelet with various fillings and fried eggs with “apaki”. As for desserts, there are “kserotigana” (fritters with honey), “amygdalota” (almond paste sweets), “lychnarakia”, various spoon sweets and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings.)”

Breakfast contains selected products and dishes from Crete and Greece in general. Starting off with breads selection from the neighbourhood bakery, there are also traditional Cretan baked products such as barley rusks, plain or with olive oil, rusks from Sfakia, rusks with orange. The handmade cookies, baked at the hotel, are served plain or filled with local jam. Cretan “Dakos” rusk (with tomato, feta, caper, oregano and olive oil) is a must-try specialty. There is milk, yoghurt and cheese selection (“manouri”, gruyere from Crete, “anthotyro”, feta), butter and local honey. Virgin olive oil from Crete is paired with Cretan olives and local spoon sweets, jams, dried fruits. Hot dishes include omelettes with “apaki” ham, “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and feta), “Sfouggato” (omelet with zucchini), soups, pies with traditional dough (cheese pies, pies with greens, spinach pies, leeks pies and “bougatsa”). Sweets include semolina pudding (halva) and “loukoumades” (dumplings with honey), “ksirotigana” (fritters with honey), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), vanilla or chocolate cream, “lyhnarakia” pies with “myzithra” cheese or herbs, “kaltsounia”. Beverages offered are herbal infusions like “diktamo”, “malotira”, sage, chamomile and cool “kanelada” (with cinnamon).

A buffet style breakfast is served at the Zante Park Resort & Spa Windows Restaurant, with a vibrant view of the garden and pool area, and a vast selection of Greek and Zakynthian flavours.

The breakfast buffet is enriched with the hot sweet flavors of our pastry team such as “Bougatsa” a Greek pastry and custard dessert, “Galatopita” (Milk Pie), “Halva” a semolina pudding with Zakynthian raisins, “loukoumades” a greek type of donuts served with aromatic grape syrup, “fitoura” and “rafiolia”, the traditional zakynthian sweets enriched with local honey and walnuts, home made “Rizogalo” the Greek rice pudding or cream flavoured with “mandolato”, a traditional local treat.

Guests may also enjoy a selection of fresh products from our bakery including traditional Zakynthian rusks made with olive oil, wine and raisins as well as an assortment of home made cakes and buiscuits, raisin bread, and of course freshly baked buttered croissants.

A rich breakfast buffet is served daily at Best Western Pythagorion. Guests have the opportunity to try some Greek specialities and taste the local flavors. There is fresh eggs and bread, traditional jams and spoon sweets from the Peloponnese, Greek strained yoghurt, thyme honey, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, fresh vegetables as well as a variety of Greek picked vegetables and fresh orange juice throughout the day.

Straight from the neighbourhood bakery comes the fresh sweet egg bread (tsoureki), which goes perfectly with pure thyme honey or honey with saffron and traditional jams and marmalades from the Peloponnese. Alternatively, spoon sweets from the same region come in a variety of flavours such as sour cherry and grape. Apart from classic eggs, guests may try the “froutalia” omelet of Syros, or the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato). The cold cuts selection includes “louza” (smoked pork) and sausages of Syros. The traditional handmade pies (zucchini pie, tomato pie with oil, pie with olives, potato pie, spinach pie and eggplant pie), with local vegetables, are highly recommended. Other suggested delicacies are green and black olives, olive oil, and “trahanas” soup (sweet traditional pasta). Hot beverages include (chamomile, marjoram, “melissochorto”, thyme, black and green tea, beverages with saffron from Kozani), and various coffees.

The rich homemade breakfast buffet offers many local specialties featuring local and homegrown products, like the jams and spoon sweets made with fruits from the hotel garden (oranges, figs, peaches and pears, grape, quince and bergamot). Delicious lemonade is made with lemons from the garden and is served iced every day together with orange juice. There is a selection of freshly supplied biscuits and cookies from local bakeries such as anise cookies, wine buns, rusks and fresh bread. Guests will also find local cheeses prepared on the premises such as “ksinomyzithra” (white creamy cheese) and “manoura gylomeni” (spicy semi-hard cheese). Other homemade dishes include various cakes and on certain occasions the sweet pumpkin pie which locals call “loli”. Standard offerings include boiled or fried eggs, omelettes, cold cuts, cheese, butter, tea, coffee, yoghurt and honey. Fresh vegetables like tomatoes, cucumbers and olives come straight from the hotel vegetable garden. Finally, those who enjoy spicy flavours should try sage, which is collected, dried and then infused into a delicious, fragrant beverage that energizes the body.

The Bebis hotel serves Greek breakfast based on local recipes and products of the region, with fresh dishes cooked by the chef. Guests will find fresh bread from the village bakery, homemade jams, honey from local producers, a variety of cakes and sweets, traditional yoghurt and a selection of fruits. Guests should definitely try the traditional sweets and pies based on grandmother’s recipes. There are cheese pies and pies with greens, all made with handmade phyllo dough and pure, fresh ingredients. Desserts include apple pie, fruit pie and sweets with cinnamon and raisins.
