A rich Greek breakfast buffet is served every morning consisting mainly of Greek traditional products. Highly recommended are the traditional pies (cheese pie, milk pie, “bougatsa”, Mykonian onion pie, spinach pie and pie with wild greens from the garden), the traditional “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) or the Cretan “dakos” rusk with tomato, olives and virgin olive oil. There are also eggs, milk, vegetables, cold cuts and fruits.

The Atrium Thassos Hotel offers a variety of Greek dishes at its breakfast buffet. There is a wide selection of breads, sesame ring bun (koulouri), cakes and biscuits. Guests will also find butter, chocolate or raisin croissants, handmade jams, mixed compotes, local honey, dried nuts and fruits.

The barley rusks are from Chania in Crete. The cakes and cookies are all homemade. Dairy products include gruyere from Naxos, “kopanisti” cheese from Mykonos, feta from sheep’s milk, and Greek “kaseri” cheese. The “louza” from Mykonos (smoked pork) has a distinctive taste. Yoghurt is accompanied with spoon sweets from Chios and local thyme honey. Jams are preservative-free with whole fruit pieces. Desserts alternate daily among the classic “pasta flora” jam tart, the homemade cream-filled “bougatsa” pie and the orange pie (recipe from Milos). The pie of the day is cheese pie with “tyrovoha” cheese from Mykonos, or pumpkin pie with greens, or village style spinach and cheese pie. The rich Cycladic buffet also offers “loukoumi” (Turkish delight) from Syros, “pasteli” with sesame and thyme honey, sweet “trahana” (traditional pasta) “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), grandma’s “tiganites” (pancakes), hot “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding (halva) with dried fruits. Fresh fruits and vegetables are also available.

Beverages include herbal teas, Greek coffee and fresh fruit juice among others.

The Arachovitika Kalyvia serves a wide selection of traditional dishes on its breakfast buffet. There is fresh bread, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), cake, fresh fruits, juices and vegetables, mostly locally produced or organic. Guests may try the cheeses and other dairy products such as traditional yoghurt, butter, buttermilk etc. The fresh eggs are cooked in various ways (boiled, fried, omelet). There also cold cuts and pies (cheese pies and traditional pies with wild greens). “Tahini”, honey, “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar), local sweets and traditional jams are always available. Recommended are the olives and olive oil, the traditional pasta hot soup (“trahanas”), the herbal beverages and the fragrant Greek coffee.

The breakfast buffet features many products of Corfu. Guests will also find homemade jams, biscuits and cakes in a variety of flavors, as well as yoghurt and fresh butter. There are also dried fruits, “mandoles” (nougat), “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar), Greek coffee, kumquat liqueur, a selection of mountain teas, traditional bread products such as “fogatsa” and loaf of Corfu, cold cuts such as ‘nouboulo”” and smoked pancetta, sausages from Corfu and handmade jams, eggs with “Komodoro” eggplants, “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato) and various Greek salads.
Last but not least, the famous pies are the real stars of the breakfast buffet, made with cheese or various greens from the garden.

Herbal teas include “malotira”, “diktamo”, linden,”fliskouni””, “sarantadendri” and sage. The breakfast is complete with dried fruits, freshly cut fruit salad, and orange juice.
