A wide selection of traditional delicacies is served at breakfast. There are various types of bread, cookies, walnut pie, various cakes, dried fruits, honey, jams, yoghurt and milk. Guests will also find cheese and cold cuts platters, bacon, sausages, butter and eggs (boiled, fried and omelet). Guests should also try the French toast with honey and banana and the traditional pies, such as pie with wild greens and cheese pie. Among the wide variety of dishes served at the breakfast buffet, guests will find a wide range of Greek products. Apart from breads, there is a wide variety of cookies, biscuits, cakes, “tsoureki” (sweet bread) and various juices. Worth trying are the pies (with cheese, spinach, milk, “bougatsa” with cream and others. There are also fresh fruits and compotes, fruit salad and Greek yoghurt, dried fruits and nuts, various jams and spoon sweets. Along with cold cuts, a selection of Greek cheeses such as feta, “kasseri”, gruyere, “anthotyro” and “manouri” is served.
The traditional breakfast of Kos includes “kanellada” (a beverage based on cinnamon), various bakery items like “moustokouloura” (cookies with grape must), rusks with walnut and sesame, vanilla cookies and special types of traditional bread. Other local specialities are the “kagianas” (scrambled eggs with tomato) and the “posia” cheese (fresh “myzithra” cheese sun dried and dipped in wine must). For dessert, there is traditional cherry tomato sweet, honey, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), the local “mageria” and semolina pudding (halva).

The daily breakfast buffet features products from the island of Zakynthos and other parts of Greece. Guests may taste fresh bread, traditional “pasteli” (nuts and honey bar) and “mandolata” (nougat), cookies, cake, hot “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding “halva”, traditional “sperna” (wheat berry), raisins, homemade jams and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding). Eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato). The traditional “fytoura” (semolina sweet), the pie of the day which may be cheese pie or pie with greens, or zucchini pie, all made with traditional phyllo, are dishes worth trying. Dairies include feta cheese, “ladotyri” cheese of Zakynthos, “myzithra” cheese, and yoghurt, paired with fresh vegetables and fruits. Beverages include herbal teas, Greek coffee and fresh fruit juice among others.

The quaint restaurant at Plaka Hotel offers a rich breakfast to start your day before exploring Athens. The buffet includes fruit juices, cereals, boiled eggs and omelet, ham, sausages, bacon, and feta, among other cheese selections. Guests may also enjoy Greek yoghurt with honey, fresh fruits, fruit salad and compote. The savoury selections feature olives from Agrinio and Kalamata with village style bread, olive bread, or traditional “dakos” rusks (with tomato, feta and oregano), as well as various Greek pies with cheese and spinach. Guests may taste the homemade apple pies among other sweet selections, namely homemade jams, croissants and various cakes.

The Greek breakfast buffet at “Pirrion sweet hospitality” includes a wide selection of traditional dishes, starting with bakery products: fresh bread, hot bread with olives and bread with cheese, caramelized “avgofetes” (French toasts), cake and “tsoureki” (sweet bread). Guests should definitely try the delicious pies of Zagori such as cheese pie, “alevropita” (flour pie) and milk pie. Guests will also find boiled eggs and omelet, cold cuts and hot soup made with local “trahanas” (traditional pasta). Other desserts worth noting are the cream-filled syrupy “galaktoboureko”, the “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and homemade jams (made with local fruit of the forest, orange, strawberry, plum, all made at the hotel). The breakfast buffet ends with fresh fruit, fruit juice, local cheeses and yoghurt, local honey, oil and olives, as well as fragrant Greek coffee.

The breakfast buffet at Piraeus Theoxenia Hotel includes fresh local ingredients with a Greek flair. Apart from various bakery products, there is a selection of spoon sweets, cereals, compotes, boiled and fried eggs, omelettes and fruits. There are fresh Greek mushrooms, yoghurt, honey and butter, Kalamata olives, various types of croissants, traditional pies (“kasseri” cheese, spinach, leek) and a selection of dried fruit (plums, apricots, figs). An assortment of Greek cheeses and cold cuts is also available. Handmade sweets include “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), Greek panna cotta with yoghurt, walnut and apple pie, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and custard pie “bougatsa” as well as a selection of jams and honey. The Greek breakfast buffet of the Pindos offers a variety of traditional dishes with fresh local ingredients. There is a selection of fresh breads, handmade cookies, fresh fruits, orange juice, organic cheese, feta cheese from Grevena, “anevato” (the local spread cheese of Grevena), traditional yoghurt and “kasseri” cheese from Grevena. There are also eggs and cold cuts, local organic honey, olives, “trahanas” (pebble-size pasta soup). Traditional pies are on offer (with cheese, greens, nettles, zucchini and other fresh ingredients.) Sweet treats include milk pie, cake, apple pie, as well as the local traditional jams.

The Greek breakfast buffet serves various breads, traditional loafs or with carob and corn, bread sticks and rusks, paired with Cretan “myzithra” cheese and gruyere, smoked pork (“apaki”), sun dried tomatoes, olives and olive paste. Virgin olive oil from the 300 olive trees of the hotel, fresh vegetables and fruits from the garden are also offered. Specials include handmade cream-filled “bougatsa” pie of Chania, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “lychnarakia” and “kaltsounakia” (made with “myzithra” cheese and honey) and spoon sweets. Breakfast is complete with strained yoghurt, jams, thyme honey with walnuts, dried nuts and dried fruits together with tea and “malotira”, a herbal beverage from Psiloritis Mountain.

The Greek breakfast buffet at the Philoxenia Hotel serves various breads and cookies, “ladokouloura” (cookies with oil)) as well as cakes. Guests may try the Greek jams, butter, Greek yoghurt with honey, compotes and milk. Salads are paired with olives and yellow Greek cheeses as well as feta. Eggs are cooked in various ways, including the traditional scrambled eggs “strapatsada” (with tomato). There is chocolate, apple and orange pie, various tarts and pies such as spinach pie, cheese pie and cream-filled “bougatsa” pie. Concluding, there are also fresh fruits and juices, beverages such as chocolate, cocoa and various types of coffee, teas, chamomile and sage.

The breakfast buffet at Hotel Philippos offers handmade specialities fully prepared on the premises: homestyle bread (whole wheat and/or with raisins), freshly baked pies (cheese pie Epirus-style, wild greens from Crete, ham and cheese pie) as well as “bougatsa” (custard pie), honey dumplings (loukoumades). There is also a wide selection of homemade sweets (cakes, “pasta flora” jam tart, chocolate dessert, fruit jams, traditional “ravani” (semolina cake with syrup), walnut pie and almond pie. Fresh fruits and vegetables are available and dairy products feature milk, yoghurt or “ryzogalo” (rice pudding).
There are also sesame ring buns and rusks from Kythira, “tsoureki” (sweet egg bread) with mastic from Chios, cold cuts from Greek producers. The cheese selection has “kefalotyri” from Lesvos and feta from Epirus, gruyere and “anthotyro” from Vytina. Fresh farm eggs are cooked in three different ways (fried, boiled and scambled). There is a wide selection of beverages (about 15 types of tea), herbal teas and many types of coffees -Greek coffee brewed the traditional way. The kitchen can cater for special dietary needs upon request.

Το πρωινό ολοκληρώνεται από πιατέλα αλλαντικών (ζαμπόν κασέρι και βραστά λουκάνικα μίνι) με μουστάρδα, καθώς και κατσικίσιο τυρί, ελιές, αγγούρι και ντομάτα.
