The rich breakfast buffet serves fresh local products and Greek traditional dishes. There is bread and Thessaloniki sesame bun from the local bakery. The excellent yoghurt pie, crepes and “laggites” with feta, are prepared daily by the restaurant chef. Another specialty is local village style sausages, saut?ed with peppers and tomato. Among the Greek cheeses and cold cuts offered, the local feta cheese sprinkled with oregano from Olympus and extra virgin olive oil is highly recommended. There is also butter paired with local jams or honey. The buffet includes a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dried nuts and fruits. Nutritious and tasty treats like “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar) and “tahini” spread are very popular with guests. Eggs are boiled, fried or scrambled as traditional “strapatsada”. Mini rusks, “dakos” with tomato, olive and feta cheese make excellent Greek finger food. Various kinds of cookies and biscuits go perfectly well with coffee, mountain tea or milk.

Breakfast at the Esperides offers mainly fresh products from the farm. Guests start with a beverage selection, which includes all types of coffee and tea. The homemade jams with fruit from the garden, the tahini with honey, the fresh yoghurt and the “galotyri” cheese highlight the taste of fresh bread. In the summer months, with the optional participation of guests, the hotel offers bread from organic flour baked in the traditional oven. Pies, the traditional dish of Naousa, are a main staple here. Depending on the season there is cheese pie, leek pie, nettle pie, “perek”, pie with “louvoudia” (wild greens) and “twisted” pies (“striftopites”). Fresh eggs are cooked in a variety of ways -“strapatsada” with tomatoes from the garden is recommended. Feta with olive oil and oregano, “batzos” and local gruyere are some of the cheeses guests offered. Freshly baked cakes, “graklianos”, “patsavouropita”, ryzogalo”” (rice pudding), lemon pie and chocolate pie are desserts that alternate at breakfast. Hot “trahanas” (traditional pasta) is served with feta and paprika while in the summer months “taratori” is very refreshing.

For starters there are various types of fresh bread, homemade apricot and green apple jam from the family garden, ryzogalo”” (rice pudding) made with fresh milk of the day, as well as hotel produced olives and vegetables. There is also freshly baked traditional bread with cheese, bread with olives, and various cakes. Guests will also find local spoon sweets, homemade pizza and fresh fruits. The “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), the “tyroloukoumades” (cheese dumplings) and the traditional “tiganites” (pancakes), made with fresh materials from the family farm and flower honey from the wild flowers of Olympus, are highly recommended. There are also dishes suitable for people with various food intolerances e.g. the “bobota” (made with corn flour and wild greens, or bread made with cornstarch etc.)

Fresh fruits, local honey fruit salads, strained yoghurt and buttermilk can be found daily at the breakfast buffet. Guests can also find eggs cooked in many ways, omelettes a la carte, cold cuts and various types of olives. Worth trying is the traditional “bougatsa” pie with cheese or cream, “pasteli” (sesame and honey paste bar) as well as handmade jams. Finally, there is a selection of beverages such as local herbal teas and infusions.

The Elea Village serves a wide selection of Greek traditional delicacies such as fresh bread, fresh fruits, juices and fruit salads, seasonal vegetables and dairy products such as yoghurt, butter etc. Eggs are cooked in various styles, paired with Greek cold cuts and pies like cheese pies and traditional pies with greens. There is also honey, as well as tahini spread, local sweets, local traditional jams, olives and olive oil and hot traditional “trahanas” (pebble-sized pasta soup). Guests will also find a selection of beverages, including herbal teas and fragrant Greek coffee.

Handmade sweets (apple pie, cheese cake) are also offered, as well as sweet custard “bougatsa” pie. As for beverages, there is mountain tea, “flamouri” herbal tea with saffron of Kozani and green tea.
