The Tourist hotel is a charming, small hotel in Argostoli, where guests feels at home. It is centrally located and has recently been renovated. It has 22 spacious, fully equipped rooms with a balcony from which guests can admire the unique view of the bay of Argostoli.
The breakfast buffet at the Tourist hotel focuses on many products from Cephalonia, such as local cheeses, free range eggs, herbs, honey, greens for pies and fresh fruits. Guests will find fresh butter, yoghurt, fresh bread from the neighborhood bakery, pies with hand made phyllo (grandmother’s recipe), jams, “pasta flora” jam tart and freshly baked cakes. There are free range eggs, cooked in many ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” with scrambled eggs and tomato. Cheeses include “kefalotyri”, feta, “gruyere”, “protia” and “ladotyri” and there is also fresh yoghurt. Pies include spinach and cheese pie with traditional phyllo. Guests may choose among fruit juices, many kinds of coffee and tea, together with a selection of spoon sweets.
