The Liotopi hotel serves breakfast in a beautiful garden next to the sea. The buffet comprises of local products and the homemade delicacies are not the same every day. Some basic staples of the breakfast table are: breads rolls with walnuts and honey, mastic flavored cookies, scrambled eggs “strapatsada” style, feta cheese in phyllo pocket with fig syrup (“sykomaidas”), fresh fruit salads, yoghurt with cereals and dried fruits accompanied by spoon sweets. There are also cheese pies, “debelopita” pie, apple pie, “neroulopita”, and small pies with greens. Some excellent products include organic goat’s cheese, excellent quality cold cuts from Drama, fresh regional fruits and vegetables from local producers. Homemade jams and sweets are prepared on an annual basis with unusual combinations like tomato and apple, peach and melon. No wonder guests love the jams varieties. There is also excellent honey, local Greek coffee, milk and yoghurt from Northern Greece and herbal infusions from the local mountains.

The Lego Hotel serves a wide selection of traditional delicacies at its breakfast buffet. The homemade jams and honey of Platamonas are paired with a variety of bakery products and the local eggs are cooked in various ways. Guests will also find ham and “kasseri” cheese. The homemade cake is really worth trying.

Breakfast at Le Palace Art Hotel includes a variety of Greek dishes. Starting off with traditional bread varieties, guests can also try the Thessaloniki sesame bun, “moustokouloura” (cookies with grape must), cake and”tsoureki” (sweet bread) with chestnuts and cookies. There are fresh fruits and juices, Greek coffee, and herbal teas. Also offered are fresh honey and jams, tahini spread, olives, extra virgin olive oil, and cold cuts. Eggs dishes include “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato and vegetables) and omelet with “kasseri” and feta cheese, and there is also cream-filled “bougatsa” pie and soups such as “trahanas” (traditional pasta) and “varvara” (wheat broth).

The Greek breakfast includes handmade pies (spinach pie, cheese pie, zucchini pie, apple pie, pear pie, milk pie, “bougatsa” pie) and various eggs. There are also local vegetables, olives, Greek cheeses and cold cuts, honey of Sithonia, jams, various yoghurts and bread. As for sweets, there are various handmade cakes, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), creams, sweet and savory cookies, raisin bread and creams. Guests will also find various fresh fruits and juices as well as milk, tea and coffee.

The breakfast buffet at Ktima Bellou features home cooked dished that alternate daily. Organic coffee and tea from Olympus is served. There is freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh bread, handmade jams made with fruits of the estate, organic honey, local cheeses, olives and yoghurt, fresh and dried fruit (walnuts from the estate are always available). Homemade pies with handmade phyllo, sweet and savory, such as cheese pie, leek and cheese pie, pie with wild greens, open pie with cheeses and smoked pork, zucchini pie, “bougatsa” with cream, “bobota” with wild greens and cheese, are some of the specialities served. During the cold winter days guests will enjoy the hot traditional pasta “trahanas”, and there is also bread with village style sausage and sun dried tomato, baked omelet with eggs from the hens of the estate, crepes with cheese and tomato, homemade bread rolls with turkey and “kasseri” cheese, dough rolls with feta. Desserts include lemon cake, vanilla cake with fresh fruit, chocolate cake, chocolate biscuit and lemon cookies with jam. New recipes are constantly added to the breakfast buffet.

The Kronos Hotel offers a traditional Greek breakfast with many fresh local products. For starters, there is coffee, chocolate, teas, juices, and milk. Guests will also find cookies, cakes, bread, Thessaloniki sesame bun (koulouri) and “tsoureki” (sweet bread). Honey, tahini, jams, compotes and spoon sweets are also standard offerings. The buffet also has pickles, green salad and Greek salad, “feta” cheese and yoghurt, peppers from Florina, various kinds of olives, olive paste, cold cuts, cheeses and sausages. Guests may also try the boiled and fried eggs, the omelet or the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato) as well as freshly baked pies: milk pie, cheese pie or spinach pie. Sweet treats include “pasteli” (honey and nuts bar), semolina pudding (halva), “revani” (syrupy semolina cake), dried fruits, “loukoumi” (Turkish delight), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings).

Hotel Korina offers guests a hearty Greek breakfast starting with a hot cup of coffee, tea or chocolate. There is a selection of breads and baked products such as sesame ring bun (koulouri), breadsticks, bread with raisins, olive-bread. There is also butter, cold cuts, yellow cheese and “feta” cheese from Lagada. Baked pies include “bougatsa” with custard cream, village style cheese or spinach pie, mini pies with sausages or mini cheese pies. There are “dakos” rusks with feta cheese, tomato and oregano or with tuna and fresh peppers. Freshly cut salads are served with olive oil from the hotel olive trees and olives. Eggs are served in a variety of ways (boiled or fried eggs, omelettes with vegetables and ham. There are baked mushrooms with butter and garlic, boiled sausages, mini pies with tuna and cheese, baked tomatoes with “feta” etc. Many kinds of jams are offered, flower honey, low fat Greek yoghurt, yoghurt with fruit, compotes, fresh fruits. There are also dried fruits nuts, homemade cakes, fruit pies, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and cheesecake with “anthotyro” cheese.

The Kinissi Palace Hotel offers many Greek delicacies at its breakfast buffet. There is bread, honey, handmade cake, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), traditional handmade cookies, fresh fruits and juices, and seasonal vegetables. Dairies include “kasseri” cheese, traditional feta and “manouri” cheese, yoghurt and butter. Guests will find eggs cooked in many ways, paired with sausages and cold cuts. Traditional dishes like “bougatsa” pie (with cream or cheese), handmade “tiganites” (pancakes), handmade spoon sweets and jams are worth tasting. There are eggs cooked in various ways, including the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with tomato), various kinds of cold cuts, pies (cheese pie, pie with greens, mushroom pie), “kolobaropita” (pie with zucchinis without phyllo crust), olives from the hotel’s olive trees, “trahanas” (traditional pasta), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), semolina pudding (halva) and tahini halva. Among the beverage selection guests may opt for various kinds of tea or “flamouri” (a herbal infusion from locally grown plants).

Mrs. Aristea, the hotel owner, carefully prepares a rich home-cooked Greek breakfast for her guests using the best local ingredients, like olive oil produced on the island. The buffet style breakfast includes white and black bread, rusks and butter. There are handmade jams such as fig, quince, strawberry, orange, carrot, tomato and honey from Thasos. Fresh salads are prepared with seasonal produce, mostly from the hotel’s vegetable garden and fresh fruits are also served. Guests may treat themselves to local olives, yoghurt, scrambled eggs, dried fruits, cereals, Greek cheeses and ham. Traditional cooked dishes include “kolokythokeftedes” (zucchini balls) and fried zucchini flowers depending on the season. Sweets feature “loukoumi” (Turkish delight), homemade cake or walnut/apple pie, semolina pudding (halva), “tiganites” (Greek pancakes with honey). Hot beverages are coffee, milk and tea.

The daily breakfast buffet has certain international dishes but put emphasis on traditional Greek dishes with local ingredients. There is a selection of bread, freshly baked in the local traditional bakery, jams made by the island’s women’s cooperative, a variety of spoon sweets, thyme honey of Thasos, olives, virgin olive oil as well as local goat’s milk and yoghurt. Some hot dishes served are the traditional cheese pie with virgin olive oil of Thasos and the Greek favourite sweet “Loukoumades” (honey dumplings) with thyme honey of Thasos.
