The Greek breakfast at Nepheli Hotel is served at the Loft Roof Bar Restaurant with view of the city of Thessaloniki and the Gulf of Thermaikos. There are various types of fresh bread daily as well as “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), “koulouri” sesame ring bun, “pasta flora” jam tart, cakes, traditional sweets with syrup and other bakery products. Guests can also enjoy other Greek products such as “bougatsa” pies, feta cheese, strained yoghurt, milk, eggs, honey, tahini halva, fruit compotes, handmade jams, fresh fruits and vegetables, olives and a wide selection of cheeses and cold cuts meats. Breakfast also includes freshly squeezed fruit juice, beverages and all kinds of coffees, including freshly ground traditionally brewed Greek coffee.

Breakfast at the Naiades features local ingredients and traditional dishes. There is bread, honey, tahini and jams, all locally produced. Various kinds of pies are offered to guests (cheese pie, spinach pie, meat pie and custard pie). There is also a selection of cold cuts and dairy products include feta cheese, “myzithra” cheese and “kasseri”, as well as yoghurt. Also available to guests are dried nuts and fruits (walnuts, almonds, raisins, cashew nuts, apricots, figs, plums), fruits, homemade cakes, tarts with homemade jam, and homemade sweets with syrup like “kataifi” and “kobi”. The breakfast buffet is complete with coffee and juices.

The Meliton Inn Hotel & Suites serves a wide selection of traditional delicacies such as fresh bread, fresh fruit, juices and fruit salads, vegetables, organic cheeses and dairy products such as traditional yoghurt and butter. There are also free range eggs cooked in various styles, cold cuts and traditional pies with cheese or greens. The breakfast buffet also offers honey, local sweets, local traditional jams, olives and olive oil, herbal teas, coffees and other beverages.

Breakfast at the Porto Carras is based on local tradition and the local products of Chalkidiki are cooked according to traditional recipes from the region. There is “Agioritiko” bread and other kinds of fresh breads, cake with olive oil, semolina pudding (halva) with “moundovina” (tsipouro made with honey), traditional cookies with olive, honey or tahini, “amygdalota” (almond paste sweets with sugar) with “moundovina”. The traditional pies are filled with local cheeses or wild greens and there are also sweet pies, such as sesame pie and liqueur flavored pie with honey and “bougatsa” with sweet cream or cheese. There are also handmade jams from various fruits as well as the famous one made from olives, as well as spoon sweets. The local cheeses (“kremasto”, goat’s cheese, oregano “ladotyri”) and cold cuts add flavor to omelets. Scrambled eggs “Strapatsada” with “kremasto” cheese and salted pork is really worth trying. There is a selection of regional sausages and the local traditional pasta adds a touch of village style at breakfast. Guests should not miss “chylopitaki” pasta with fresh butter, grated cheese or with fresh sheep’s yoghurt and “chylopites” pasta with “kremasto”” cheese and salted meat.

Guests should try mini pies with poppy seed, wild greens, olives, peppers and “feta” cheese, “bougatsa” pastry with cream, chocolate, or cheese, eggs cooked in various ways like omelet with feta and “kasseri” cheese, tomato and onion, as well as “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with vegetables.) The breakfast at Litohoro Olympus Resort Villas & Spa is mostly based on local products from the area of Litohoro in Pieria. The breakfast buffet includes various breads and traditional pies with many fillings (cheese, spinach, milk, leeks, eggplant etc). The dough and fillings are handmade according to traditional recipes. Guests will often find “tiganites” (pancakes) and “bougatsa” pie. Vegetarian dishes are also available (“batsina”, tomato with “anthotyro” cheese, saut?ed zucchini etc). There are also various kinds of omelettes and organic eggs from local producers cooked in various ways (including the traditional scrambled eggs “strapatsada”). During winter, soups such as “trahanas”, chickpeas, chicken soup etc. are offered. The buffet also includes cheese and cold cuts platters, with emphasis on the local products, fresh yoghurt, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding) and a selection of creams with fresh local milk. As for sweets, guests will find fresh handmade jams and flower honey from Olympus and may also try various cakes made with pure local ingredients, as well as apple pies, “pasta flora” jam tart, “ravani” (surupy semolina cake), cookies and fresh “loukoumades” (honey dumplings).

At the “Orizontes” restaurant of the Limneon Golden, a delicious Greek breakfast buffet introduces guests to a traditional breakfast of Kastoria. There are bakery products, a selection of Greek cheeses and cold cuts, homemade jams, honey, yoghurt and milk, mountain tea, fresh fruits and juices. The Greek delicacies include: local dry, salty cheese “batsos” and savoury pies. For dessert there are sweet pies, spoon sweets, semolina pudding “halva, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), cake with walnuts and carrot and “loukoumades” (honey dumplings).

The Liotopi hotel serves breakfast in a beautiful garden next to the sea. The buffet comprises of local products and the homemade delicacies are not the same every day. Some basic staples of the breakfast table are: breads rolls with walnuts and honey, mastic flavored cookies, scrambled eggs “strapatsada” style, feta cheese in phyllo pocket with fig syrup (“sykomaidas”), fresh fruit salads, yoghurt with cereals and dried fruits accompanied by spoon sweets. There are also cheese pies, “debelopita” pie, apple pie, “neroulopita”, and small pies with greens. Some excellent products include organic goat’s cheese, excellent quality cold cuts from Drama, fresh regional fruits and vegetables from local producers. Homemade jams and sweets are prepared on an annual basis with unusual combinations like tomato and apple, peach and melon. No wonder guests love the jams varieties. There is also excellent honey, local Greek coffee, milk and yoghurt from Northern Greece and herbal infusions from the local mountains.
