The Lakithira’s Greek breakfast includes many baked products and breads, like the zea bread, which is worth trying. There are also fresh fruits and fruit salads, dairy products (yoghurt from Kos, “anthotyro” cheese, local “krasotyri” cheese, local “posa” cheese etc). Eggs are cooked with traditional Greek recipes. Also offered are cold cuts, various pies (“labropita” of Kos etc), thyme honey from Kefalos in Kos, spoon sweets, various other sweets (“mageria” of Kos, cream-filled “bougatsa”). Guests should also try herbal teas and infusions from the mountains, like the “alisfakia”.
