Creta Star 4* (Adults only) hotel is situated in the area of Skaleta, in the prefecture of Rethymno. There is a 400m long sandy beach in front of the hotel. Breakfast at the Creta Star includes a selection of local delicacies and products that can be found in the Cretan Corner of the main restaurant. There is fresh bread baked on the premises and rusks with grated organic tomato and extra virgin olive oil. The local handmade jams and spoon sweets add a special touch to the buffet. Dairies include local, traditional cheeses such as gruyere, “tyromalama”, fresh “anthotyro”, “ksinomyzithra” as well as sheep’s yoghurt. Guests will also find a selection of cold cuts from local producers such as smoked “apaki” pork. A selection of olives is also available (green olives from Chalkidiki, Kalamata type olives and “throubes” olives. Hotel specialties include “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “moustalevria” (grape must pudding) and “lychnarakia” (sweet myzithra pies).
