The “Carme” Villas are more than a luxury hotel. The twelve 5 star villas are newly built, luxurious, independent residences, located a few kilometres away from the beautiful city of Rethymno and 800m away from an organized beach. Each 80 sq.m. residence has two floors and a swimming pool and can easily accommodate 4 or 5 people. The location, the small village of Adele, combines mountain and sea.
The traditional Cretan breakfast consists of the most pure and fresh local materials of the land. There is a variety of bread products and homemade pies, spoon sweets and jams, cookies made with virgin olive oil, “tiganites” (pancakes with honey), small fried pies with sweet “anthotyro” cheese, cinnamon and honey, pies with cheese/greens/spinach/sausage. Local cold cuts and cheeses are also served (gruyere from Crete, dry “anthotyros”, “ksinomyzithra”, yoghurt, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding). There is traditional “dakos”: rusk with finely chopped tomato, white cheese, onion and extra virgin olive oil. Omelettes are cooked to order, made with free range eggs. Desserts feature “pasta flora” jam tart, orange pie, cakes. There is a variety of fresh fruits, olives and vegetables. Beverages like Greek coffee and infusions made from traditional Cretan herbs such as “diktamo”, are also offered.
