A breakfast buffet with local dishes is served daily at the restaurant of A.D. Imperial Palace. Guests may start their day with honey, butter and jams, as well as a selection of breads and traditional sesame “koulouri” bun. The buffet also includes “myzithra” cheese (light), white and yellow cheese, strained yoghurt and sliced turkey. There is also sliced cucumber and tomatoes from local producers paired with grilled tomatoes, zucchini and eggplants, black and green olives from the region of Chalkidiki and a selection of fresh and dried fruits. Guests may try the traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs with cheese and tomato) or the “twisted” Macedonian cheese pie. Desserts include the famous cream-filled “bougatsa” pie, the syrupy semolina cake (“revani”), as well as walnut pie, the semolina pudding (halva), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings) and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), There are also cakes and an assortment of traditional sweets in syrup. As for beverages, there is milk, chocolate, mountain tea (local) orange juice and mixed fruit juice.
