The Theophilos Paradise Boutique Hotel is a new 4 star hotel in the center of the Mytilene port.
It consists of three buildings: The fully renovated traditional mansion has five tastefully decorated double rooms and suites and the two new buildings consist of 11 and six rooms respectively. The hotel offers Turkish steam bath, sauna and swimming pool with hydromassage at the roof garden The pool bar offers a panoramic view of the old city and castle.
Guests will really enjoy the traditional Greek breakfast at the Theofilos Paradise. The best local ingredients are used to prepare delicious traditional delicacies. Apart from fresh breads and cookies there is a local specialty, “tsatalia”, made with olive oil from Mytilene and flour. The pies of Mytilene with handmade phyllo are filled with fresh ingredients: wild greens, various aromatic herbs, eggs and the local “ladotyri” cheese among others. Worth mentioning is the “sfouggato”, a traditional savory pie with zucchini. Other savory dishes include “strapatsada”, (fresh eggs beaten with grated tomato and feta). There are also other kinds of omelettes and fried eggs, small pies with “myzithra” cheese, “giouzlemedes” (traditional small cheese pies) small sweet or savory crepes and a variety of olives. Desserts include “moustalevria” (grape must) and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding). Other sweets include orange pie, “ravani” (a syrupy semolina-based cake), milk pie, “galaktoboureko” with custard and syrup and the “baklava” with thin phyllo and walnuts. Last but not least, there is yoghurt with fruits, spoon sweets and organic jams.
