The Greek breakfast buffet at The Met hotel features many quality Greek products like freshly baked bread, cake, cheeses, cold cuts, jams, honey and yoghurt, fresh fruits, eggs, fruit juices etc.
The cheese selection includes feta, “manouri” and “kaseri”, accompanied by a variety of olives.
There is traditional “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato), spinach pie, cheese pie, “bobota” (corn bread) and pancakes with sour “trahana” (traditional Greek pasta).
Sweet treats include “moustokouloura” (cookies with grape must), “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), cream-filled “bougatsa” pastry, “tsoureki” (sweet bread), “loukoumia” (Turkish delight), “pasteli” (sesame and honey bar), halvas, cake with peanuts from Aegina island, lemon cake with mastic from Chios, dried plums in red wine syrup. Guests will also find handmade cereal bars with peanuts from Aegina, danish with syrupy “tsoureki” dough and walnuts as well as “zvingos” (dumpling) with hazelnut praline and tahini.
