The Smartline Margarita Hotel is situated in the famous bay of Laganas on the island of Zakynthos. The 4 star hotel has 96 rooms, two swimming pools, one for adults and one for families, as well as a bar that serves drinks and snacks. The hotel has also an excellent restaurant that serves dishes from the Greek, Mediterranean and international cuisine.
The breakfast buffet features Greek products and recipes from Zakynthos, using typical local products of the island like raisins, virgin olive oil (distinguished for its rich aroma and deep color) and flower honey. Guests can enjoy many different kinds of bread products like the traditional rusks of Zakynthos (with oil, wine and local raisins), cakes, bread with raisins, biscuits and cookies. Hot dishes include among others “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato) and Cretan “dakos” rusk with tomato. There are also homemade jams, spoon sweets, “melachrino” cake, traditional “fitoura” and “glaounes” of Zakynthos as well as olives from local producers, many kinds of dried nuts, a selection of cheeses that includes gruyere from Zakynthos and “myzithra”, yoghurt, fresh vegetables and fresh fruits.
