The Mykonos Theoxenia’s Greek breakfast buffet offers many types of fresh bread from the local bakery, rusks and handmade buns, as well as various kinds of yoghurt, honey and handmade jams. There is a selection of fresh fruits and juices, fruit salads, vegetables and salads with olive oil. Omelettes, “kagianas” (eggs with tomato), “trahanas” (traditional pasta), olives and cold cuts are also offered. Greek local specialties include “kopanisti” cheese with cherry tomato, bread roll with “anthotyro” cheese and “louza” (pork). Recommended are also the hot dishes, namely the baked “haloumi” cheese, stuffed peppers, fried gruyere “saganaki”, “sfouggato” omelet and stuffed vine leaves. Guests may try some traditional Greek sweets, semolina pudding (halva), walnut pie, dried fruits and beverages (teas, chamomile and mint).
