The Golden Star Hotel Apartments in Tigaki, on the island of Kos, is overlooking the beach. The 3 star hotel features an outdoor pool for adults and one for children. All rooms have a balcony and a kitchenette with fridge and there is also a childrens playground. The hotel is situated 10km from the main town and port of Kos.
The breakfast buffet is set daily with traditional delicacies and products from Kos. There is fresh bread from the traditional neighborhood bakery, homemade jams and handmade pies that steal the show. The pies are made with greens from the vegetable garden. The traditional cheese of Kos, “krassotyri” is served twice a week. The green olives are prepared on the premises. Homemade honey dumplings (“loukoumades”) are not to be missed, as well as the traditional ‘small tomato’ spoon sweet.
