The Aegean Houses hotel is located in the northern part of the island of Kos, 50m from the beach of Mylos. The hotel has 55 modern apartments, with one or two rooms, ranging from 28, 35 to 43 square meters with fully equipped kitchen and private balconies, which can accommodate 2 to 4 people. There is an outdoor swimming pool with Jacuzzi and Pool Bar, a children’s swimming pool and a playground. There is also a restaurant, a gym, and a wellness center.
The rich breakfast buffet has many local products and handmade delicacies based on traditional recipes. The breads are from a traditional bakery and the variety of biscuits and cakes is baked on the premises. There are homemade jams and local thyme honey. Apart from coffees, a variety of herbal teas is served, fresh lemonade or traditional “kanelada” (with cinnamon). As for cheeses there is feta, the traditional “possia”, “krasotyri” and “anthotyros” cheese. Apart from the local cherry tomato sweet there are handmade spoon sweets and compotes. The eggs are cooked in many ways, like “strapatsada” (scrambled with fresh tomato), and “sfouggato” (with zucchini). There is a variety of pies of the day (with meat, pasta, “anevati” of Kos, with olives and other filings.) Desserts include traditional “loukoumades” honey dumplings, “tiganites” (pancakes) and “pougia” as well as “ravani” (surupy semolina cake) and walnut pie, semolina pudding (halva), cream filled “galaktoboureko” with phyllo crust, apple, orange or lemon pie, “bougatsa” (with cream) and “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), and the traditional “”mageria”” of Kos (sweet mastic/cinnamon flavored cream).
