The Lindos Mare Hotel honors the Greek traditional breakfast by serving a buffet based on fresh, local products. Unique traditional touches, such as rose cream, “sfouggato” (omelet with zucchini), fennel pie, fresh fruit juices and other local delicacies add color to taste. The aroma and texture of coffee, particularly Greek coffee made in “hovoli” (traditional instrument with sand imitating ashes), promise the best start to an ideal day.

The Greek breakfast starts with bread and bakery products from the village bakery (traditional bread, cookies with grape must etc.) The jams are homemade from the hotel’s own fruits (apricot, peach, sour cherry, fig, plum). Yoghurt is served with jams, honey, raisins, walnuts, figs from Kymi, plums from Skopelos and almonds. As for cheeses there is “ksynomyzithra” and gruyere on rusks. The “Lefkiani” is a simple omelet recipe with tomato and eggs, very popular with guests, who may also try the cheese pie made with a variety of cheeses. Sweets include orange pie, apple pie and the classic pasta flora jam tart. For those who finish breakfast and wish to carry on with a taste of traditional “meze”, there is “souma” (the local raki) and bottarga from Mesologhi, cold cuts (louza or sausage) from Mykonos, “syglino” (smoked pork) from Mani, “apaki” (smoked pork) from Crete and many more appetisers.

The Lakithira’s Greek breakfast includes many baked products and breads, like the zea bread, which is worth trying. There are also fresh fruits and fruit salads, dairy products (yoghurt from Kos, “anthotyro” cheese, local “krasotyri” cheese, local “posa” cheese etc). Eggs are cooked with traditional Greek recipes. Also offered are cold cuts, various pies (“labropita” of Kos etc), thyme honey from Kefalos in Kos, spoon sweets, various other sweets (“mageria” of Kos, cream-filled “bougatsa”). Guests should also try herbal teas and infusions from the mountains, like the “alisfakia”.

Ξεχωρίζουν το – φτιαγμένο με αλεύρι ολικής άλεσης, καλαμποκάλευρο, ελαιόλαδο, αλάτι και γλυκάνισο – ζυμωτό ψωμί, οι σπιτικές μαρμελάδες από εποχιακά φρούτα (π.χ. λέρικα φραγκόσυκα και δαμάσκηνα), το τοπικό θυμαρίσιο μέλι, η δροσερή φρουτοσαλάτα, ο τάκος, οι αβγοφέτες, το πρόβειο γιαούρτι πασπαλισμένο με φρέσκα καρύδια και παραδοσιακό λέρικο θυμαρίσιο μέλι, η μυζήθρα από τοπικό παραγωγό που φτιάχνεται από φρέσκο αγελαδινό γάλα και συνοδεύεται με μέλι και κανέλα, οι λουκουμάδες κ.ά.

Given the location of the hotel at the edge of the caldera, breakfast cannot be served in a buffet but instead it is served in the guests’ rooms. It includes fresh bread and cake from the local bakery as well as Greek bread sticks, fresh seasonal fruits paired with Greek strained yoghurt. There are also fresh cheese pies and apple pies from the local bakery, Greek honey and two types of jams. Beverages include a selection of tea, chamomile, Greek fresh milk and organic drink with crocus of Kozani, a selection of coffees, including Greek, and orange juice.

The breakfast buffet at the Lagos Mare hotel is based on the Greek cuisine and consists of local products. The buffet includes bread sticks, several types of fresh bread and bread slices for toast. There are also homemade cakes, biscuits and sweets. Guests will find village style pies and eggs (boiled, fried and omelet), a selection of cheeses of Naxos, a selection of cold cuts and dairy products of Naxos (milk, yoghurt and butter). There are also homemade jams (peach, strawberry and orange), honey, and a wide choice of fresh vegetables and fruits, fruit salad, fresh orange juice and all kinds of coffee.

The Greek breakfast buffet at Kos Hotel 4* Junior Suites offers breads from the neighbourhood bakery, rusks, homemade biscuits and cakes. These are paired with thyme honey of Kos, homemade jams, the traditional cherry tomato sweet of Kos, a selection of compotes and tahini spread. There are also refreshing juices such as the “kanelada” of Kos (cinnamon drink), cold cuts and fresh vegetables. Eggs dishes include “strapatsada” (scrambled with tomato) and “sfouggato” with zucchini. The handmade pies with fillings such as cheese, spinach, mushroom) or sweet cream and phyllo (“bougatsa”) are served hot. Cheeses include the local “krasotyri” of Kos, feta and “anthotyro”. Sweet dishes include “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), the local “”mageria” ((sweet mastic/cinnamon flavored cream), halva with raisins or semolina pudding.

Breakfast at our harbour-front patio is an unforgettable experience. A full American buffet breakfast will satisfy every guest’s taste but our pride is the “Greek Flag” dishes. We want our guests to have the opportunity to “taste” the local culture, to come closer to Kos and its people. So we use locally produced and oftenly organic ingredients, to create in-house, traditional delicacies that represent the special flavors for Kos.

The hotel’s Greek breakfast usually includes among others:

Red-wine soft cheese, feta cheese, locally grown olives, herb infused olive oil, farmer’s cheese, a wide selection of rye and whole-wheat flavoured rusks and breads, flatbreads, mint/rosemary/mountain teas, savory and sweet pies with homemade puff pastry, chalva and mayirya desserts,  marmelades and local fruit preserves.

The Kolymbia Bay Art’s Greek breakfast includes Greek coffee, local honey, cream with mastic,, tomatoes with eggs (strapatsada), rose sparkling wine of Rhodes, fresh orange juice, aromatic olive oil, traditional “twisted kihi” phyllo pies, bitter orange spoon sweet, “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding (halva) and “fanouropita” pie of Aghio Oros.

Στον πρωινό μπουφέ υπάρχουν ακόμα λαχανικά, φρέσκα και αποξηραμένα φρούτα, φρουτοσαλάτα, κομπόστες, φυσικοί χυμοί, αφεψήματα και ελληνικός καφές στην χόβολη, ενώ ξεχωρίζουν οι χειροποίητες μαρμελάδες, το θυμαρίσιο μέλι, το ταχίνι, οι λουκουμάδες, οι χαλβάδες, το κουσαφί με ξερά δαμάσκηνα, τα κρητικά λυχναράκια με μυζήθρα, οι γλυκές πίτες, η κώτικη μαγειριά, τα σμυρνέικα κουλουράκια κοκ.

The hotel’s rich breakfast buffet puts emphasis on Greek specialities. There is a wide variety of traditional breads, dairy products, excellent honey from Kos, jams, fresh fruits and vegetables. Egg-based dishes include “strapatsada” (scrambled eggs and tomato) and eggs with zucchini. There is also village style cheese pie (“katimeria”) or pies with wild greens and “perek” (with feta cheese) as well as savoury cakes with olives, “lalaggia” with anthotyro”” cheese from Mani and Cretan wild greens pies with fennel. The cheese selection includes feta, “anthotyro”, “krasotyri” and “kasseri”. Guests may taste “dakos” rusks with olives, oregano and “anthotyro” cheese, olives and sun dried tomatoes. Drinks such as fresh lemonade, “kanelada” (traditional cinnamon drink), “soumada” (traditional almonds drink) and orange juice are offered, as well as herbal teas and Greek coffee traditionally brewed. Dessert specialties are: “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), “loukoumades” (honey dumplings), semolina pudding (halva) “kousafi” with dried plums, Cretan “lychnarakia” with “myzithra” cheese, yoghurt pie, milk pie, sweet pumpkin pie, orange pie, “fanouropita” pie, “melekounia” (with honey and nuts), “tsoureki” (sweet egg bread), cream-filled “bougatsa” “diples”, and various spoon sweets

The Greek breakfast buffet at the Horizon Beach Resort features cold cuts and a selection of cheeses like feta and “kasseri”, “myzithra” (local product of Kos) and “anthotyro”. The fresh vegetables are mostly produced on the island Kos. There is also locally produced honey and jams.
Two local specialties are also served at breakfast: chicken and pork jelly. Spoon sweets like sour cherry, cherry, bitter orange, fig, grapes and cherry tomato are offered (local products of Kos). Guests can also try various compotes. There is a wide selection of beverages such as fresh milk, tea in various flavours and fresh juices such as orange, apple, grape fruit and sour cherry.
