The hotel’s delicious breakfast puts particular emphasis on local dishes and Greek products. Guests may start with a variety of freshly baked bread and buns from the local bakery, biscuits, cookies and cake. There is butter, fresh eggs, vegetables, olive oil and fresh tomato on rusks (dakos), olives, Greek cheeses and cold cuts. Guests may try the jams and traditional local spoon sweets, or opt for pies with cheese, spinach or cream, homemade apple pies and pear pies. Other desserts include dairy creams, “ryzogalo” (rice pudding), and semolina pudding (halva). Vegetarian choices include fresh fruit salad, yoghurt with flower honey and walnuts, dried figs, raisins and herbal teas. The hotel treats guests to “pasteli” (honey and sesame bar), “loukoumi” (Turkish delight) and kumquat, the traditional sweet of Corfu.
